Skippers Canyon Tour Now a Carbon Neutral Operation

Today, we can announce that our operation to Skippers Canyon is now carbon neutral. We launched our environmental impact management initiative in October 2009. Monitoring our CO2 emissions forms the major part of this initiative. We are furthermore fully committed to recycling and reusing material where ever possible. All our monitoring endeavors paid off; the results are quite interesting and according to our expectations.

The results show that about 83% of its produced CO2 emissions are created by its sightseeing and wine tours, 15% by the commuting activities by its staff members and the rest by domestic air travel.

We offset our carbon footprint by partnering with Carbonfund.org. Carbonfund.org is the leading nonprofit carbon reduction and climate solutions organization, making it easy and affordable for individuals, businesses and organizations to reduce their climate impact by supporting third-party validated renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects. Carbonfund.org has over 600,000 individual supporters and over 1,800 business and nonprofit partners including Discovery, Motorola, Amtrak, Dell, JetBlue, Virgin America and Staples.

We informed our partners and the press today. Read our press release.
